For Miguel, it’s much more than a passion for good cooking. It’s a passion for the industry as a whole. He thrives in the chaos of a buzzing fast paced kitchen. Ironically, as a child, his mother steered him away from the kitchen and culinary tasks because it was not culturally common in his native country for men to be Chefs. Upon coming to America, Miguel found himself in the kitchen out of necessity for a job! He started in the dish room, but was hungry for more. His drive and determination we the foundation that launched his career. His zeal to always learn more has taken him far and preparing the food his customers truly wanted has been rewarding. Miguel says “The highlight of my day is seeing the smiles of my satisfied customers. I Love being a part of the Bon Appétit dream and the commitment to sustainability. I am even more excited to share that passion with the Concordia Community!”
