Aide Castaneda | Executive Chef at Vanguard University

Aide Castaneda, born and raised in Acapulco, Mexico, discovered her love for cooking while spending time at her mom’s restaurant. Without a babysitter, Aide and her brothers, aged 4, 6, and 8, helped clean onions, squeeze orange juice, and wash dishes. These early tasks sparked her lifelong passion for the food industry. After moving to the United States, Aide began her career with Bon Appétit at Biola University. Specializing in Mexican cuisine, she takes pride in bringing authentic flavors to every dish. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and connecting with nature.
